A local area connection is activated in every system by default when Windows is being set up. The network adapter is given a connection to which the Internet can be accessed and browsed. A user can enter several LANs through the Network Connection folder and Set up LAN utility. This creates and activates local area connection in a system. for some reason, when a machine of mine first starts up from a fresh boot, the network doesn't work properly. I usually fix this by enabling and disabling the 'local area connection'. These are the steps that I take to do the enabling and disabling: control panel; View network connections; Right click 'local area connection', select 'disable'. RE: Local Area Connection Not Working If you get a limited connectivity issue then it simply means your pc is not able to access the dns. Click on start and then click on run.
